Update this week
This week, there will be 6 spots for winners for PvP. However, they will be split into 2 groups. The group with the highest score will win the rewards. For Example: If Grenth wins with a total of 10k damage. Then they win and Dwayna doesn't get anything.
RULES THAT MAJOR DIFFER from last week. NO Summons and NO Minions. A MM is powerful, so far that what made last weeks big winner do 11k+ damage. Can't have that repeated! It is way to easy.
- This is a SOLO thing. Just you. You can use consumables or PvE skills if your doing PvE. PvP rules apply for PvP, means no consumables or PvE skills. The only rule is you do it by yourself unless there is a certain bonus rule.
- PvE rule Has to be above 3,000 damage PvP is 2500. Don't post lame numbers.
- Master Of Damage has to say 30 seconds. If he says 35, try again AND don't post it! It can be 29 seconds, but you would want the extra second, trust me. If you don't get it exact, If your under, I will add the least amount of points, If your over, I'll subtract the most amount of points.
- Post entire image! Those that "cut" off parts will automatically be disqualified. Why? Because they could be hiding Heroes or other players.
- You may change your picture as much as you want! """DON'T DOUBLE POST!""" I will be looking at every post!
- DON'T send me private messages on guru! Just post here.
- Dead line is 12:00 midnight GMT, Saturday the 13th of December! Reminder: I am having a Christmas Party at my house that day. I might be checking on Sunday!
- Take picture or...
- PM Me in game! I highly SUGGEST it. """ZODIAC WAR"""" in friends. The winning people will have to prove their skills before I give them their winnings. (No cheating people) If a person takes a picture with him doing 9,086 damage, but showed me only 7,875. Hmmm.
- I might be busy. Don't worry, when I get a break I can take 5 minutes out.
- Don't worry. Luck is a factor and if your 500 or even 1000 off that's ok. If your out of cons I'll add slack. Plus you will have plenty of due overs. But if you aren't near your score by trying 10x, I will consider cheating. PM me and that won't happen at ALL.
- The reason I have you post here is because I can easily see the top scores. If a person cheats I can go to next in line here on the forum. Also it is for people participating can see their competition.
*The winner crown can bypass 1 rule that will be given every week. The winner crown cannot be used by last weeks top winner. You can sell it or give it to a friend. The crown is customized for Zodiac Asin ONLY! Don't buy any other armor!
Don't know how to post picture, go HERE.
Unlucky Slayer Edit: Removed horribly annoying gif pictures. Please do not repost them.

Interesting contest - you should require >= 30 seconds, and use the avg/sec reported (rather than requiring exactly 30 seconds). I'm having a hard time getting it to end exactly at 30 seconds.
FWIW, I slopped together an ASSN dagger build, with only 15 dagger mastery (not in helm) and 15 crit - and less than 6 rank in EotN skills used. Managed to eek out ~110/sec on a couple different trials (kept ending at 33 sec tho, using /bow). No cons/buffs used. So some serious potential there!
EDIT: My rank 5 vanguard and rank 6 asura are really killing me on this. I'll put a placeholder here, in case I'm unable to do more with this over the weekend. No cons of any kind used - so looks like 150/sec, or 4500 for 30 seconds...

It doesn't have to be exact. The closer to 30 the better. I'll add points if you to low (not much) and I'll subtract points if your to high.

A lackluster PvE entry to encourage some more competition.

I actually modified my build a bit, and managed to get 170DPS. So you still beat me, but only by 1. However, my mod involved using that monk enchant I saw in your image (as well as the off-hand starter you used, to free up lead attack slot).
Spent some time on my main ranger, just couldn't seem to keep DPS up (mana issues even w/ 35). Started 150,120,120,80,50, then 30 - cons might have helped this, but just couldn't get a good build (even with rank 10 in asura/vang/deld).

Well, I tested it out with max ranks and no cons, and I got around 180 DPS for it, so you hit on a winner there. And introducing a second person to GDW you would have resulted in a larger DPS increase than my build would have generated. Not sure what a 30 second By Ural's Hammer would have done for it though. Perhaps we should the two of us test it anyways?

Not sure if you're talking to me or not, but assume you are...
FWIW, with that build when I got 150DPS I realized that if I simply did nothing but maintain the buff/enchantments, I got 140DPS - so the 3 attack skill slots were mostly wasted. Adding the Monk +9 damage (I think I went 12/9/9 - maybe 12/10/8) made it maintain 150DPS (using NO ATTACK SKILLS). Using the offhand and the AOE finisher worked well (170 for me, 180 for you?). I ended up using sundering/mastery [+15%ench +20%customized], but not sure that sunder/mastery was much better than zealous/ench (5DPS or so tops - expected a *LOT* more)...
FYI - there's something funny about how basic attacks occur - it seems if you use an attack skill just prior to a basic attack happening, the basic attack timer gets reset - so using attack skills hinders the basic attack/IAS mode... This really seems retarded, but I've noticed it enough on my ranger/warrior/assn to know it must be of some consequence...
I have some more ideas, given the skill buff/nerfs from Thursday. I've been unable to really play with this over the weekend, but I plan to mess with it more this week. I think I'd be better off dropping BSOH for ural hammer (and getting <50 from the necro debuffs for 16 seconds), and some other skills look promising. Need to play with what is best, BSOH, urals, critical agility. My ranks suxor, so crit agil is top (but prolly not with max deld/vang). Asuran scan (sp?) is so godly, that even at 62% increased damage it has to be the best of them all (not 75% yet heh)...
I think this contest should be class-based. For example, I'd like to see a ranger get better than 90DPS over 30 seconds (using pre-Thursday skills).
Oh, and I have no idea what you mean adding a second player to GDW - is this the PvP mode? It is kinda funny that elite is flamed for being so weak (locusts fury). I bet there's plenty of overlooked skills, as most focus on zealous/regen attack skills, rather than base damage...

> 1000 dps
Damage was ONLY dealt by Fiends!
Neither me nor my H/H dealt damage.
I think I can hit 120-130k, and nearly 1500 dps with a few more adjustments. I realize I don't qualify under your rules, but I wanted to post for the fun of it. Maybe honorable mention...
